Limpopo also referred to as "The Greath North" is South Africa's northernmost province and borders on Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Botswana. The province is named after the mighty Limpopo River on its northern border.

Limpopo is an important tourism destination, thanks to its abundant wildlife, beautiful scenery and rich cultural and archeological heritage. Limpopo is also an important agricultural and mining region. The northern section of South Africa's famous Kruger National Park is in Limpopo. Numerous top private game reserves are found in the lowveld area bordering the Kruger National Park  and in the beautiful, mountainous Waterberg region and the spectacular Zoutpansberg region with its iconic baobab plains.

The capital of Limpopo is Polokwane. It is the cultural and commercial hub of the region and is situated in the heart of an important cattle ranching region.
